Topic 4a: Colours and your eye

Big Idea: We see colours because they are reflected off surfaces. Your eye has tiny light sensors called RODS and CONES that can detect only RED, BLUE and GREEN. When red, blue and green are added together, we see white. Any other combination allows us to see other colours.

The demonstration shows how these three colours can combine to make the full rainbow.

What connection can you make to how an iPad or other computer screen works?
